WATSONVILLE, Calif- There was a huge drug bust Wednesday afternoon, said deputies. They recovered several hundred fully grown marijuana plants and arrested three people.
Detectives served search warrants at a Watsonville warehouse and houses in Salinas, Seaside and Aptos.
They discovered an illegal commercial indoor marijuana cultivation and sales operation with over 1,600 marijuana plants, scales, packaging materials and over $12,000 in cash at the warehouse, said deputies.
The house in Salinas contained two pounds of marijuana buds and approximately $25,000 in cash, said deputies. When detectives searched the house in Seaside, they found one pound of marijuana, $1,000 in cash, high power rifles, scales and packaging materials.
John Benton, Brian Lincoln, and Ryan Tate were all arrested in connection with this bust.
