WATSONVILLE, Calif. -- Watsonville Police have lifted a lockdown for Rolling Hills Middle School after finding no signs of a shooting in the area reported.

The shots were reported in the 100 block of Lawrence Avenue in Watsonville around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Watsonville Police found no sign of a shooting, including no bullet casings, after canvassing the area.

No gunshot victims have come forward either, according to Watsonville Police.

Nothing suspicious was reported at Rolling Hills Middle School.

Staff say the school was on a 'half day' schedule, previously planned, so classes were not impacted.
