WATSONVILLE - A community is on edge after a bullet shot into a Watsonville bedroom on Sunday night where two small children and their mother were sleeping.

No one was injured.

The shooter is on the loose.

"It's scary, you know, because it's a rough neighborhood. Things are always happening around here," said Jessica Uribe. "We're actually trying to move out of here."

Watsonville Police stormed into Uribe's neighborhood looking for the person who shot once into a home on the 600 block of Lincoln Street.

"There were police everywhere with flashlights. They were running, looking for something," Uribe said.

Police say no one saw anything and they don't know if or why the family was targeted.

Uribe is worried Watsonville is no longer a safe place to live.

"I think right now everybody has to watch their backs in Watsonville. It's getting so bad, especially over here," she said. "Now we can't go out without being scared for our lives. We have to constantly watch our backs. It's something scary."
