Watsonvile Police: Man Arrested With Gun Stolen From Police Department

WATSONVILLE, Calif- Wednesday afternoon agents from the Santa Cruz County Gang Task Force arrested Alex Fernandez after the stopped him for a vehicle code violation.
Agents said they smelled marijuana coming from the car, so they searched it. Inside the car they found loaded semi automatic handgun, said police.
Police say the gun was stolen from the Burlingame Police Department.
Fernandez, who police said is a gang member, was arrested and taken to the Santa Cruz County Jail.
