A special plea for a lovely little dog who needs a forever home.

Lucy is Central Coast News Pet of the Week.  We learned that Lucy is 6-years-old and has a special story.

She was actually first adopted from the SPCA, six years ago, by a Central Coast family.

Sadly that family has had some financial difficulties and their home has been foreclosed and Lucy has ended up back at the SPCA.

Adoptable Dogs Featured at Watsonville Store

Every human being encounters crossroads in the course of a lifetime.  Those crossroads are turning points that can radically change the direction of your life.  On Saturday, November 5th, adoptable dogs from Peace of Mind Dog Rescue will be literally and figuratively at a crossroads in their lives when they are hosted by Crossroads Books in Watsonville.  These lovable canines, all shapes and sizes, have all been fostered by volunteers and are all looking for permanent, loving homes.

On Sunday, October 30, 2011, Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter (SCCAS) will host its 1st Annual “Halloween Hoe-Down” at SCCAS’ Santa Cruz location animal shelter, 2200 7th Avenue, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  Join us for live music, a pet costume contest with celebrity judges, special adoption prices, food and fun activities to support your community animal shelter in this Fall Festival of Fun!   Participants are invited to come to Santa Cruz County’s largest animal shelter to enjoy the following:
