Playing Football to Raise Money for Local High Schools

Tonight the Salinas Junior Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a football game at Monterey Peninsula College to raise money for local high schools.  Schools from Monterey Bay, Tri County and Mission Trail leagues will go head to head to raise money for their schools.  Kick off is at 7pm and the gates open at 5:30pm.  Tickets for adults are $12,  for children six-years-old and under as well as people over 65 will pay $6 to get in.  Students who present their school IDs can get in for $8. Parking is $5.  All the money earned will be divided up among the participating schools.  So go support your local schools tonight and enjoy a fun football game with family and friends.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Pavement Repairs Of Major Highway

Pavement Repairs – Intersection of Highway 1 at Highway 9

 

 

The City of Santa Cruz Water Department has contracted with Granite Construction Company to repair pavement damaged by a water main break in the intersection of Highway 1 at Highway 9. Lane Closures will occur nightly beginning at 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Monday, November 1, 2010 through Thursday, November 4, 2010 and again on Monday, November 8, 2010.

Hundreds Head to Watsonville Discussion on Local Problems

From gang crime to the rise in foreclosures, hundreds headed Sunday to Watsonville's Henry Mello Center in search of solutions to the Central Coast's most pressing problems.
