The Geiser Rock

The late Emmett Geiser was a Watsonville High football coach in the 1950's and he's still remembered and respected to this day. Geiser gained his fame by leading the Wildcatz to ten championship victories.

A monument built in Geiser's name lies at the edge of the field. Players and coaches still remember Geiser by touching the rock every time they come on or go off the field. Many believe touching the rock brings them luck and a little bit of strength from Coach Geiser himself.

You can catch the Wildcatz next home game Friday, November 13th at 7pm.
